Federal Student Aid is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grant, work-study, and loan funds to students attending college or career school.

1- Supervisory Accountant (MP)
Full Time
Pay Scale: GS 15
Salary: $144,128 to $172,500 per year
Washington, DC, USA

Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior accountant responsible for providing audit and accounting expertise on financial statement and other financial audits to ACVD, FMG Divisions, and providers of audit documentation/deliverables FSA-wide.
Exercise professional accounting knowledge and expertise to review, for soundness and technical adequacy, recommendations proposed by subordinate management and technical specialists.
Manage, plan, implement, monitor, evaluate, and operate accounting and financial management programs.

Requirements:
Accounting or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.
At least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge.
