About Agricultural Research Service:
The Agricultural Research Service is the principal in-house research agency of the United States Department of Agriculture. ARS is one of four agencies in USDA’s Research, Education and Economics mission area.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop a pilot program to monitor and inspect approximately five dams within the Stillwater Creek Watershed.
2. Collect data to develop a cloud based database network that can be used to update and expand Windows Dam Analysis Modules (WinDAM) or to be used by other dam monitoring applications like DamWatch.
3. Improve threshold settings within these applications for alerting field engineers, watershed sponsors, and/or emergency and storm water managers about auxiliary spillway releases impacting downstream infrastructure.
Requirements:
1. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
2. Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
